“Shoreham House was 30 bed high care facility that was 40 years old in some parts and in urgent need of redevelopment.  Plans were approved to build a 60 place High/Low Care facility over 3 levels on the same site which required the building to be constructed in 2 stages.  Existing residents were to be located within the existing building while stage 1 was constructed on adjoining land.  On completion of this stage, residents would be relocated, the existing building demolished and stage 2 constructed to join onto stage 1.”
